08 patch for Command and Conquer Generals File name: Generals-108-english exe I can't get C&C Generals/Zero Hour to run on Windows 10!:( At first, the problem was a permission error would pop up saying something like access denied/no permission.. Unfortunately the game doesn't start up I've tried the combatablilty wizard but still no joy.

However I decided to roll the dice and buy the C&C Ultimate Collection, as I had noted that it boasted ’17 titles updated to run on Windows 7’ Now I know that Windows 10 isn’t Windows 7, however, I thought there would be more chance that it would run and it does! Just one click downloaded and installed both C&C Generals & C&C Generals Zero Hour on to my Windows 10 Laptop too! So that’s the answer guys Get a copy of C&C Ultimate Collection.. However, I realised that if I right clicked on the game icon and selected 'run as administrator' Windows would then allow the game to continue to open.

AMAZING NEWS I GOT IT TO WORK!!!! Basically, I DO believe that the original version of C&C Generals simply will not run on Windows 10 as the Microsoft Support Engineer stated.
